Author Philippa Cleall lives in Australia on the NSW South Coast. Her work as a Children’s and Family Counsellor and Court Chaplain has allowed her to walk alongside many individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging seasons. Besides being a wife, mother, step-mum, and proud grandmother, she is passionate about supporting those who are vulnerable, having herself received life-changing support decades ago following significant relational trauma.

Prior to retraining as a Counsellor and Court Chaplain, Philippa has worked in adult education, with homeless youth, and as a Teacher Librarian for over a decade which has helped her understand the importance of books as a resource for learning.

In spending time with school communities in East Africa, Philippa has translated her African picture books into local languages to donate to schools in Tanzania, Zambia and nearby countries. How to Reach for the Stars and Hungry Chipo are available for those who might be travelling to East Africa and would like to donate copies to local schools.
